One of our attractions as a tourist destination is undoubtedly the Romanesque art, unique and wonderful examples of history that dot our entire province

Our undisputed jewel is Loarre Castle. Forty minutes by car from Corvinos, Loarre is the best preserved Romanesque castle in Europe and one of the fifteen most beautiful in the world according to National Geographic.

The medieval heritage of the province of Huesca is enormous and there are countless Romanesque monuments and pre-Romanesque churches in the Altoaragonese that can be found in its villages.

Within a short drive from the Corvinos Castle you can visit many of those that make up the Pyrenean route. A dream and with exceptional mountain landscapes such as Jaca, Ainsa, Boltaña, Torla, Broto, Ansó or Benasque among many others.

The province of Huesca is a jewel for ski lovers. The Aragonese Pyrenees has five alpine ski resorts (Formigal, Panticosa, Cerler, Astún and Candanchú). Several of these resorts are located 1 hour away from the Corvinos Castle. All of them are renowned in Spain, and have ideal conditions for the practice of this sport. The variety of ski resorts in Huesca allows skiers and snowboarders of any level to find their ideal place to enjoy these winter sports.

But the Pre-Pyrenees represent a privileged area for all types of adventure sports and a paradise for active tourism 365 days a year. In our province, you can practice extreme sports and live an adventure adapted to all levels, people and ages (whitewater, climbing, kayaking, bungee jumping…)

The Hoya de Huesca region is a transition area between the pre-Pyrenean mountains and the Ebro valley, where one third of the territory is located in mountain territory, with large forest areas, and the rest occupies a large cereal plain, whose central nucleus is the city of Huesca, regional and provincial capital.

The Hoya de Huesca hosts most of the Natural Park of the Sierra and the Cannons of Guara, and in it are the most amazing contrasts, from the highest heights of the Tozal de Guara (2,077 meters) to the deepest chasms of the mountain.

The spectacular nature of the Guara Park lies in the originality of its landscapes and the unusual beauty of its canyons, ravines and gorges.

It is the true heart of the Pyrenees and one of the first protected nature areas in Europe.

The valley of Ordesa is the soul of the park. Walking its paths, merging with the environment, is an experience that will remain in your memory forever.

At the Castle of Corvinos, there is no meal service at the moment other than our delicious breakfast with typical specialties from the area.

Huesca has a wide and varied gastronomic offer. The proximity of the orchard, with a rich farmland, means that our restaurants have high quality raw materials that form the basis for a high level cuisine. All this together with the game products in perfect harmony with the wines of the Somontano make it a real pleasure for lovers of good eating.

From the prestigious and distinguished restaurants to the traditional and homemade food establishments, Huesca hosts true routes for taste.

Among the traditional recipes, predominate the forceful dishes with which once faced the hard days of work while fighting the cold of the earth.

Typical of the land are the migas a la pastora, the Oscense or garlic soup, salads, legumes or vegetables, salmorejo, chicken ‘chilindrón’, trout or cod ‘ajoarriero’, lamb shepherdess, chiretas, products derived from hunting, varied cold meats and charcuterie, blood sausages, tortetas and the star dish is undoubtedly the roasted ‘ternasco’.
